There are daily scheduled flights and selected air charters available which land at the Musiara Air Strip near the camp.

Travelling by road will also be a good choice if you are curious to see Kenya’s countryside. The drive from Nairobi to Narok will take you about 2-2.5 hours, the road offers a breathtaking view and picturesque scenery. As you drive to reach your safari destination in the Maasai Mara, you will see the Great Rift Valley Escarpment and the Escarpment’s view point near Mai Mahiu where you will be able to look down the valleys and Mount Longonot (a dormant stratovolcano which erupted in the early 1900s) and Mount Suswa (a shield volcano).

Other point to mention is that you will be going on game drives with the same driver/guide and your private vehicle. You have full flexibility regarding the schedule, however, we recommend adhering to the program set by your driver/guide who is trained and very professional.

Mara Olapa Camp is situated in the Maasai Mara Reserve within the vicinity of double cross area famous for the elusive leopard sighting.

The nearest entry point to the Camp when travelling by road is Musiara Gate.

The game drives can also be enjoyed in our special 4x4 vehicles so you participate in a unique wildlife spotting experience.

The Camp consist of six luxurious en-suite traditional style safari tents with flushing toilets, safari style shower, clothes rack, storage chest, vanity desk and a private veranda. We also offer an authentic Masaai style traditional Manyatta stay within the camp. COMING SOON - FAMILY TENT of two ensuite rooms and a common lounge.

 

The Camp runs on solar power and is an eco-friendly bush camp with little impact on the environment and striving to maintain the eco-system. We empower the local communities with training, development and employment opportunities.

The pathways are lit up with kerosene lamps giving that special safari feel.

Additional features are a luxurious lounge tent with a fully equipped Bar with an assortment of drinks.

The Dining Tent where a selection of freshly prepared meals mostly in a la carte style, are served by our resident gourmet chef.

The camp is not fenced thus giving the small plains game the free movement within the camp, therefore Maasai Moran guards will look out for your safety during the day and night.
